After a little researching I discovered it's heritage.
I recently accquired a Moroccan Wedding Blanket...quite frankly I didn't know what I was purchasing..but I knew it was handmade, wool and like nothing I had ever seen before. After a little researching I discovered it's heritage. Song of Style Moroccan wedding blankets are woven by the bride’s female relatives. I can only imagine how long it takes to weave and attach hundreds of mirrored sequins. During the creation of the blanket the bride’s relatives share with her all secrets of a good marriage. After the wedding ceremony, the bride wears the blanket tied around her neck as a kind of cape and then it is used in the home. This is the quilt I purchased...click the photo to see more about it in my Etsy Shop. Glitter Inc.
