The runways are full of the next color trends in fashion...these trends carry over into the home interior market. The latest trend is a "Renaissance Pallet. Consider the paintings of that time and you will see what I mean.

Your art collection doesn't match the couch. Original art pieces rarely do... and that's not why you purchased them. Now what? Evenly spaced art pieces have a look of cohesiveness to them. http://curiousdukegallery.com/blog/161-guest-blogger-kristin-gaudio-endsley-how-to-display-art-at-home Consider layering them all in one place...sort of a gallery look. I have one of these in my home. While the easel is designed to hold one piece, I have stacked pieces above and below...I like the look. Look for the next trend in home interiors to be layering...layering rugs, layering textures.. Similar textures and tones blend well in this room. While the furniture is quite modern, the "ethnic" feel of the rugs keeps it from looking sterile. The addition of the throw pillows and throws warm up what could be a cool, or uninviting room. Multiple area rugs in a similar jewel tones. Placing one on the diagonal keeps it from looking like you just don't have a rug that is large enough! Themed rooms look best with rugs in the same style. An animal skin, faux or real, draws the eye down. Find this very unique rug in my Etsy Shop...simply click on the image.
We love orange, but perhaps a whole wall would be too much. Let's find the shade and then go from there. Inspiration can come from your favorite pieces. find your favorite orange and it's companion colors at Chip It !
