Click on any of the photos to shop! I studied the rules of lighting...
shades proportionate to the size of the base. Lonny Magazine is featuring lighting turned on it's head. Wire baskets have so many uses...they allow you to see what is inside...so remember to only place beautiful, inspiring things in them. Drum Cases found at the Goodwill now hold art supplies and are sturdy enough to be used as an end table. Collect suitcases and low baskets to replace those wonky drawers..and hang one on the wall as a cabinet. My family has owned the glass china cabinet for over 100 years...it always held dishes, now it serves as my bookcase..and does it beautifully ! An abandoned antique gesso frame has been reborn as a memory board. I simply looped twine around the back and it holds birthday greetings, notes and photos.
You may not have a ticket to France or the time to walk the flea markets of Paris...but you can window shop on Etsy...here are a few of my French treasures from Vintage Home Shop.

It's always been a dream for us to live near the beach. It inspires us. I haven't lived my whole life here but have lived on both coasts and Europe. While I have spent most of my adult life in Maryland home is where the heart is...and for now, it's here. I am named after my mother who raised me with a love and appreciation for antiques and vintage items...and most importantly, creatively using what you already have. For the last few years I have had lots of friends, locally and around the world, follow me on Etsy. I have a little Vintage shop, I shop locally and around the region. I go to small thrift shops, the Goodwill, auctions and farm auctions. For me, the process is simple. I go, I look, I hunt, I shoot, I drag it out of the store. (I hunt with my camera but I love the metaphor of hunting!) In the last few months I have had friends come and ask me about the shop. They see my posts, usually my "SOLD ! ! !" posts on facebook. I didn't realize that people were watching and dreaming about doing this themselves. As soon as someone asks I go right into my "method". I believed it was common knowledge....apparently not. Most times their eyes glaze over...they are often overwhelmed by the amount of information I throw at them. If you are considering entering this most creative arena be sure to ponder the full picture. If you enjoy the researching of each little item you sell, if you enjoy writing about these pieces, shipping these pieces, communicating with customers (even when they are not happy) and the easiest of these tasks....shopping. It could be for you. A dear friend in England, Eve, of The English Shop and My Little French Shop, That simple phrase empowered me and remined me of my role in the store. I have helped launch a few shops on Etsy and would love to help encourage you. In the continuing blogs I will "show and tell" my process. I believe this will be more encouragment than technical knowledge of the internet but when I learn something, I will pass it on. Leave any questions you may have and I'll do my best to guide you...
